MATPOW Privacy Policy

MATPOW is an ad-free math practice game for kids, made by Zero Story Points GmbH. We collect as little as possible and nothing we collect is sold or shared for advertising.
What we store
- Player account: a nickname you choose, an avatar choice, a PIN (stored only as a cryptographic hash), and game progress (quests completed, streaks, rewards). No photo, no location.
- Clash enrollment: an optional first name, shown only to the guardian running that clash.
- Age: at sign-up we ask how old the player is and store a birthdate derived from the answer, only to decide whether the under-13 protections below apply.
- A parent's email (under-13 accounts only): used once to notify a parent that the account exists and how to have it deleted. It is not used for marketing.
- Optional emails: players 13 or older may add a recovery email; guardians running a Clash may leave an email for results. Both are optional and used only for those purposes.
What we don't do
- No advertising, and no ad networks or trackers.
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
- No third-party behavioral analytics. We use cookieless, privacy-friendly usage counts (Vercel Analytics) to see which screens are used.
Where data lives
Accounts and game data are stored with Supabase in the EU (eu-west-1). Transactional emails (the parent notification, clash results) are sent through Resend. The app and website are hosted on Vercel.
Children
Accounts declared under 13 require a parent's email, and that parent is notified when the account is created. Under-13 accounts cannot opt into any marketing. A parent can have a child's account and all its data deleted at any time by replying to the notification email or writing to the address below.
Deletion & contact
Signed-in players can delete their account from the account menu in the app (the button with your initial on the start screen). A parent can also request deletion, or ask anything about this policy, by emailing piotr@zerostorypoints.com. Deletion removes the account row and all gameplay data tied to it.
